New Frozen trailer, Rise of the Guardians, and Disney Store :D

Hey everyone!!!
The new Frozen trailer was officially just released!!!

Who's just a little more excited for Frozen now?  I know I am!  I'm going to have to draw some pictures from this trailer...

Anywho...I'll stop obsessing over Frozen for a moment.
My Rise of the Guardians DVD came in the mail yesterday, and I've watched it...twice...already.  I'll have a review up for the movie once I get the time to sit down and really type a good one out.  I have a lot of things to say about this movie, mostly good.  It's a really good movie, though! 

And my Disney Store order is supposed to come tonight, so I'm hoping the website's right and I'll have some Anna and Elsa reviews up soon as well!  And on top of all THAT, I still have a how-to post and some comparison posts to work on as well!  I better get started with all these posts...=D 
On another note, I finally have all my guinea pigs back in one room.  They're happy and I'm very happy.  And they're healthy - so far!  xD 

Photoshoot, anyone?

Hey everyone!  Sorry it took THIS LONG to post the photoshoot...but here it is!!  I was going to post it on Saturday, but my stupid Blogger wasn't wanting to upload pictures.  Ugh. 
And guess what...I will be doing a review of Rise of the Guardians soon here, AND Anna and Elsa will be coming to join the clan!!!  I just ordered the DVD on Friday, and the dolls tonight, so there will be more reviews coming!!!! Anyone else planning on getting Anna and/or Elsa?  I'm still not quite sure about Elsa, whether or not I'll like the doll (I love the movie character so far) but we'll see.  I couldn't have Anna and not Elsa...either that or I'm just weird :P 
And right now there are quite a few sales - including a 2 for $10 each deal on the Classic dolls, at the Disney Store.  I ordered some stuff for my nephew and niece while I was at it - Christmas shopping done for them, whoop-whoop!   :D 
Anyway.  I'll stop rambling and let you get to the pics.  xD

Two things you have to have on hand for any Rapunzel photoshoot:  A brush and a bunch of hair bands.  Trust me when I tell you this.  :P

2011 Rapunzel

I'm not a fan of taking 'selfie' pictures...but I wanted to try a new perspective for pictures.  And I love how this turned out!

2011 Disney Store Rapunzel review

Hey everyone...and here's the long-awaited 2011 DS Rapunzel review. 
I'm running low on brain cells right now  - went to bed really late (someone kept texting me and they would.  not.  stop.) and then got back up bright and early...and I have zero ambition today, but I knew I'd promised all of you that this would be up TODAY..so bear (bare?) with me :D  Okay, I'll stop rambling about my night, and I'll get to what you all REALLY want to hear about :P 

First off:  Anyone know if these come with the 2011 Rapunzel?  They came with her in the lot, but I don't think they come with the actual doll, but the shoes fit...maybe they're Barbie?  I have no clue.  If anyone knows, please feel free to drop a comment - thanks! 
Anyway.

Here's the lovely lass, subject of this post.  
She is seriously so pretty. 

She's a lot like the 2010 Rapunzel model,  but her lips are a little paler and she has eyelashes. And, of course, with a different dress, shorter hair, and no shiny tinsel thingamabobs in her hair, either.  Sorry, I can't think of what they're really called right now.  So they shall go by 'shiny tinsel thingamabobs' for now.  ;)  Anyway, moving on.

Her bodice.  It's reallllly super glittery, and minus the 3/4 sleeves. 

And the tulle skirt, which has fabric underneath. 
Most of the glitter's off of the skirt, except for a few bits - yay!!
I suspect whoever opened her simultaneously detonated a glitter bomb, right out of her box, if that skirt was coated with glitter.  xD

 

And the back of the dress. 

 

Her hair comes down to her feet, and it's soft; but it's made of some sort of dryer material than the 2010 Rapunzel, or even the 2013 Rapunzel.  It's nice, though.  I ended up doing a little bit of work on it, because the ends were really rough, which I will post as a how-to sometime soon. 

Overall, I'd give her a 4 out of a 5.  She's GORGEOUS, but you can tell that she was definitely a step down from the 2010 Rapunzel.  I would definitely reccommend her, though, because she's adorable!  (:

I'm going to try to get some final pics for the photoshoot, with an actual camera...which I was gonna do today, but ended up tired and the camera's battery died. Sooo...yeah.  Why is it that every time I go to take pictures, that stupid camera's battery is dead?!  I mean, really...  the camera must hate me xD

So I'll hopefully have that photoshoot up soon, along with a comparison review and that how-to.  (:

And now, I shall go to work on my review post for my 2011 Rapunzel doll!  I'm hoping to get it up tomorrow.  This week has gone from not crazy, to semi-busy, to full-blown busy. 

Let's see, I think the last time I posted was Monday, saying that we were going to see about buying a pony.  We got him!  Hoping he'll  work out for what I got him for.  Now, dear readers...I have a question for you.  He' s a little brown and white paint pony, that's super curious and, well, nosy.  I have some names picked out for him, but I can't decide.

Frozen merchandise is out!!!

Hey everyone!!! 
I just saw on Facebook, via Hollys Dollys, (an awesome page - you should look her up!)  that the Disney Store just released their Frozen merchandise!! I'm so excited.... :P

Anyone excited for the movie?  I know I am!  The dolls are gorgeous (and that Sketchbook ornament set is adorable - I've got a thing for the Sketchbook ornaments though :P )  but I definitely will wait until prices come down to get Elsa and Anna if I do...I'll have to see if I have any room for displaying them! If not...that figurine set looks like a cute, cheap option.... xD 

And as for the 2011 Rapunzel review..I'll have it up as soon as possible!  Today we're actually going to look at a pony for 4-H showing...yes, a pony - for carting - so I mayyyyy not be able to post anything else today, but I'll hopefully have time tomorrow!  And I'm still working on photoshoot pics.  ;) 

2010 Rapunzel review

Hey all!!!  Yes, I am FINALLY getting an actual post up!  Whoop-whooop!  :P 
Last night, my 2010 & 2011 Rapunzels came!  I'm still excited! 
Before I get to the post...a few things. 

I am done with my week helping out at the fairgrounds...Basically all I did was wipe tables, throw out junk, collect food trays, and replace placemats....it got a little monotonous by last night, but it was pretty good.  And goodness, last night was hopping!  Wow.  I thought I'd never be able to get out of there! : D
And hopefully I'll be able to post some more on here.  Sorry, guys! 
I'll post the 2011 Rapunzel review in a seperate post; and then I'll post that long-awaited photoshoot, and then a comparison between the 2010, 2011, 2012 (brunette) and 2013 Rapunzels.  Oh, and my Mattel Rapunzel will be featured a couple of times.  :D

Let's see...OH!  On a totally different and random note, has anyone seen the Dreamworks movie Rise of the Guardians?  I've been wanting to see it so badly, and it seems really awesome..If anyone has, feel free to comment anything about it...please!! :D  I'll buy the DVD off of eBay as soon as I can - which will probably be after I do Christmas shopping.  My Rapunzels were the last purchase I'm planning on making until after I get Christmas shopping done...which I really need to start planning out!  :D

Okay, I'll stop blathering on!  Onto what you REALLY want to hear about!

Well..this is how Blogger uploaded everything.  Umm..this is her brush.  It's got neat patterns all over it, and it's pretty cute!  I'll have to get the actual camera out to see if I can get better pics. 

Her little paintbrush, with a little handle thingy so she can actually hold it!  That's exciting to me..when I was young, any Barbie accessories you got never had handles or anything, so they just laid around and got broken or chewed up by some dog (at least, mine did xD)

And a..blurry picture of Pascal.  He has a little handle thingy attached to his one back foot, as well.  He is SO cute!  It amazes me how good his paint job is, especially since he's so little!  :D

And here's the star of the post...lovely Rapunzel.  =]
She has LONG hair with those iridescent (spelling?) strands in amongst her hair fibers.  And her hair is sooooo soft..I had to keep petting her :D 

Her immensely lonnnnng hair. 

And her gorgeous face!  She doesn't have eyelashes like the other dolls, but in the movie, Rapunzel didn't have really over-exaggerated eyelashes, either.  And you can't see, but she has freckles.  (:

Her bodice, and 3/4" sleeves.  Yay for movie accuracy!!! 

And her skirt...again, yay for movie accuracy!  Right down to the lace on the bottom of her dress.

The back of her dress..the pattern and everything goes the whole way around the skirt.

"But what choice do I have?  I need someone to take me!" (From the scene when she's interrogating Eugene, and has to take a quick break to conference with Pascal :P  If I didn't get that quote right offhand, please comment and let me know xD)

"And then I'll brush and brush and brush and brush my hair, stuck in the same place I've always been..."   (I wouldn't reccomend using those plastic brushes for brushing her hair, though - an actual wig brush works a lot better and keeps the hair nicer...same goes for ANY type of doll!)

 

Overall, I give her a 5 out of 5.  She's adorable, movie accurate (That's a HUGE plus for me; I dunno about you).  I'm not usually one for dolls with iridescent strands in their hair, because the strands stretch instead of breaking, and can quickly turn things in a, well...huge, tangled mess. ;) 
But her hair is soo soft, and long, and silky, and fun to play around with..I can't wait to mess around with braiding it. 
Her hair seems a lot less thick and weighty than the 2013 Rapunzel of mine, but that doesn't bother me. 

Her dress is really nice, and her accessories seem very well made and sturdy.  The paintbrush may be able to be bent, however, but I didn't try to. 
The only thing I would say is to make sure to keep an eye on the small accessories (Pascal and the paintbrush) around young children..those could quite easily be swallowed or choked on...another thing is that I'm sure that with enough rough play, the elbow and wrist joints could come apart.  They seem sturdy enough to me, but I know for a fact that my toddler nephew would have her destroyed within minutes if he would get ahold of her :D 

 

She's getting harder to find, especially since Disney Parks came out with a newer model this year (which doesn't have arm joints, I've heard..?), so if you're looking to get one, you might want to jump on one from eBay before they're an extinct doll on the sale websites :D

So...a quick post in between classes, a club meeting, and then fairgrounds volunteer work :D

-A review for the 2010 Disney Parks Rapunzel (I *finally* found her on eBay in a lot with 2011 Rapunzel...with Pascal and everything!  For a really super reasonable price to boot!  I definitely had a squee moment then :P )

And then maybe I'll do some comparison posts between all of my Rapunzels.  When they come in the mail, I'll officially have the first, second, third, and fourth editions of the Disney Store Rapunzel!  I am so excited...it doesn't take much to excite me, though!  =D 

Things might finally calm down with my guinea pigs...their week of antibiotic dosages for whatever ailment this was, was over yesterday.  They'll remain quarantined from one another for another week, I'm thinking, and we'll see from there!  So far, nobody's been exhibiting any symptoms.  Fingers crossed and praying hard that it stays that way! 
(And it's Wednesday.  It's automatically a great day on Wednesday, because Duck Dynasty's on xD)

FINALLY, another post...so sorry :(

Sorry :(  I thought summer was a time where you got to chill and everything...but not for me, apparently!  I truly cannot remember ever being so busy!  I have been working on photoshoot pics, I truly have been.  But let's see...
Sunday, I went with some kids from the church I go to, to a "Last Blast of Summer" Christian event at an amusement park.  Oh my goodness, it was SO fun!  They had a sermon, and then they had comedies and concerts going on throughout the day.  All for free, unless you wanted to go on the rides, of course; and even then, the church paid for the tickets.  I had so much fun. 
I got plenty to think about during the sermon, which was one I really needed to hear at the time (hurrying and worrying..hmm.)  Anyway...3-2-1 Improv Comedy was there, and boy, are they funny!  I laughed so hard!  Then, let's see...Lindsay McCaul was there - she is an awesome Christian singer!
And Matt Maher, another contemporary Christian singer, was there as well - and oh.  My.  Gosh.  I had never heard of him before, but I have been listening to his songs NONSTOP since we got his new CD, "All the People Said Amen" at the event :D

Anyway.  I'll stop obsessing over Matt Maher's epic songs now.  :P 

Monday...let's see, Monday was busy, but I can't remember what all went on. 
Tuesday was the first day of school for us cyber schoolers.  Also, I found out that whatever ended up causing my one guinea pig's death is VERY contagious, finding out the hard way with another death to the piggy family :(   I have no clue what this is, and I have talked and searched for HOURS trying to find out what's going on, but I cannot for the life of me find anything out - most of the problems are due to not taking proper care of them, and trust me.  I'm slightly obsessive about caring for them.  But anywho..let's see.  I've disinfected EVERYTHING, I have all 4 of my remaining guinea pigs separated and in different rooms; they all are on preventative and/or treatment medication, and their normal food, on top of special hay AND probiotic pellets.  Oh, and they're being given some orange juice to drink as well as water - a tip I got from the local family-owned pet store; vitamin C.  And I have to wash my hands and blablabla every time I go to feed or touch (or whatever) a different guinea pig.   
So you can see how this week has been going, right?   Fingers crossed that nobody else comes down with it and hoping and praying this is over with soon! 

When I haven't been doing schoolwork, trying to squeeze in time blogging, or playing nurse to all my guinea pigs, I've been either doing other things or working with horses.  Or my internet's been out.  Trust me, you don't want to get me started on that last one there...I have not been a happy camper about the internet xD 
Let's see....did I cover everything?  Hmm...I obsessed over Matt Maher, guinea pigs, and the internet connection...what else was I supposed to say?  Oh.  Two more things.  You're not gonna want to hear this, but next week's going to be busy as well. 
It's the week of the local township fair, and I was recruited to help at one of the food places.  I think it'll only be in the evenings/afternoons, because of schoolwork, etc., but that still really cuts into blogging time :(  Sorry!  I'm hoping after next week, things will calm down a bit and I'll be able to blog more!

Onto doll things...I think the Disney Store released the Fairytale Designer Couples Rapunzel & Flynn dolls this week - the fourth or the fifth?  So if they're not already sold out and you haven't heard they were released yet, and you want to go pick a set up, I'd suggest you do so before they are sold out!  Hoping everyone that wants a set can get a set! (: 

For now..I think that's it.  Phew...hoping I can have some pictures up sometime in the near future, thanks so much for the pageviews and follows, and I am so, so so so sorry that I haven't been posting as much as I've been wanting to!  Hope you all have great weekends, and I'll talk to you all when I get the chance to again!  ;)
