Today, the Disney Store finally came out with some of their 2014 Classic Doll collection!!
The face molds and paint, etc. look to be exactly the same, but the outfits are different for the princesses. Plus, Mother Gothel has a glittery dress. Didn't think she'd be much of one for glitter, but hey.

Merida also has a new outfit -- she has less glitter, but her dress has a neat, glittery little pattern along the bottom. It's really nice!

Rapunzel's got an AWESOME dress this year -- it's as close to the movie dress as they've gotten since the original 2010 doll came out! Also, I'm not sure if maybe it's just me, but her face looks different. Almost rounder, maybe? Or her lips have softer coloring? I'm not sure. Your thoughts?

What are your thoughts on the new 2014 redesigns?
I'm DEFINITELY going to get Rapunzel (who knew, right?? :P) and hopefully Belle as well. Any of you guys planning on getting any of them?
I'm excited to see if they made any changes to their articulation -- hopefully changes for the better!!

Surprisingly, the Frozen dolls have not been added to the "Classic" collection yet -- I'll be interested to see if they redesign them, and what they will look like if they do. As usual, the Frozen merchandise is completely and utterly out of stock.

Yeah! I do have a Anna and Elsa doll thingy set from the Disney store, but they have suffered a LOT of play and their hair is bad, plus I can't find Anna's skirt, one of her boots, her hat or one of her gloves. Elsa's dress is ripped REALLY badly, her hair is a mess and I can't find her other shoe. I need new ones. I hope they come back in stock soon. :-/

I know, their twice-upon-a-year sale is amazing. I love Cinderella singing doll, but I also love Rapunzle and Belle. I would get Ariel but she sold out. Thoughts?

Yikes! I hope you're able to get new ones soon! I just had to put my Anna and Elsa back in their boxes...their leg joints were getting so loose they could hardly stand, even though they're mostly just on display. I saw Hans was in stock for a little bit today, but that's it as far as I could see :/
DeleteI do think that Rapunzel might share the same mold and paint, etc. as 2013 Rapunzel's, so I'm thinking that that one has the bigger eyelashes, too. They're bolder and more thickly-painted on than the 2011 version...and obviously the 2010 version, too, since she doesn't even HAVE eyelashes :D
Merida's on my wishlist, too :D She's sooo pretty, and since I had to put the original release I had in her box (loose joints also....crummy 2012 joints...), I might have to go for her sometime. I love that pattern on her skirt, but I'm a sucker for any Celtic or Scottish ANYTHING.
Oooh, yeah. I think pretty much all of the singing dolls were really pretty -- I LOVED Cinderella's pink dress. And ohhh, Ariel was gorgeous....You might be able to find her on eBay for cheap-ish, it kind of depends. The 17" singing dolls can range anywhere between $15 to $100 on there, you just have to be patient =D Hope you can get everything on your wishlist!!
